WWU wins NCAA II West Coast Regionals

Both men's and women's basketball teams won the NCAA II West Coast Regionals and moved on to the Elite Eight, Tuesday. A day later I thought " wouldn't it be cool to follow them during the Elite Eight?" After checking plane tickets and schedules, I thought the women’s team would be easier to cover. The rest of the games are being played in San Antonio of a four day period. While the men’s tournament continues in two cities, Louisville, Kentucky, and then finals will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though I work for WWU Athletics, they weren't going to send me with either team, so I decided to give myself the assignment and pay my way there. I've never traveled anywhere for the sole purpose of photographing, so each step in is a huge learning experience. I got up at 3 a.m. this morning to catch my flight at 5:30 a.m. out of SeaTac. Now I'm exhausted but finally finished collecting the images together and using my hotel's more reliable wifi to bring you these pictures! Enjoy.
