Skagit Valley Herald | Aug. 7 - 10

Yesterday marked  the end of my first week of interning Skagit Valley Herald. After a quick orientation and running through the systems, the photo editor took off for vacation leaving me to fend for myself. The nervousness faded through the week, ending with my first solo shift. Turns out, there is nothing to be scared of. I almost think of Skagit as advanced Western Front, where everyone know what they are doing. So, in that respect, I must give my college newspaper credit, you've prepared me well. Thank you. My coverage included, a car and boat show, the county fair, Skagit Woodstock, and a scene from my first time in a court room.
